ISO/IEC 27001, the world’s leading information security standard, which aims to protect the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of organizations’ information assets, has been updated. In October, the revised ISO/IEC 27001:2022 was published.

Richard Skipsey
Global Product Manager – IT Products, TÜV Rheinland

Richard Skipsey has 20 years’ audit experience in information security and business continuity management systems (ISMS & BCMS). This includes implementing and auditing ISMS & BCMS in local governments, financial services and the manufacturing sector. Moreover, he gathered experience as a PCI DSS QSA, undertaking checks on payment card security in hospitality, retail, gaming, and the tech sector.

Previously, Richard worked at SGS for 10 years, managing global accreditations for IT standards, doubling the number of certificates and qualified auditors, developing and implementing new standards, as well as webinars and trainings on data privacy, business continuity, information and cloud security. He is a qualified auditor for ISO 27001, ISO 22301 and ISO 20000, plus sector-specific standards across multiple sectors. His role as Product Manager IT Standards at TÜV Rheinland includes developing and growing these IT standards, and sector-specific standards covering data security & data privacy.
Jose Gonzalez-Petrone
Jose Gonzalez-Petrone
Auditor Lead – TUV Rheinland of North America
Jose has 23 year’s world-wide experience in Quality Management System implementation and ISO/API training and auditing in the oil and gas industry, with a Bachelor Degree in Computer Information Systems and Executive Data Science Specialization.

Prior to joining TÜV Rheinland, Jose was Global Service Quality and Process Assurance Manager for a Halliburton Energy Services with a focus on implementing global strategies, operational plans, and supporting technical systems and processes, for service quality execution and continuous improvement. Drove the information technology assessment process; cross-functional data integration; system testing and end user training activities; and final configuration and deployment of a new global SaaS QMS.
