This webinar will provide a general overview on the applicable Japanese regulations for food contact materials (FCM), including the last amendment regarding the positive list system for food utensils as well as containers and packaging.

Our experts will guide you through the applicable Japanese regulations, covering different types of FCM like plastic, stainless steel, elastomers and more. The impact of the last amendment of the MHLW Notification No. 370 of 1959, MHLW Notification No. 196 of 2020, will be highlighted.

She focuses on the German market, for the interpretation and improvement of legislations and standards as well as related testing methods.

Marco Scialpi is an expert for regulatory, compliance and quality management with over 25 years of experience in companies like Nestlé and CPW. At TÜV Rheinland, among others, he is responsible for developing the service portfolio to meet the current challenges of our international active customers. Therefore, he conducts continuous research and interpretation of global legislation.

His expertise extends over various business fields like, electrical appliances, packaging, hardline or food processing lines. He holds a Bachelor degree in Analytical Chemistry.
