Chris Mahler is the Director of Engagement and Outreach for the Conformity Assessment department within the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Chris has been with ASME for over 10 years, supporting the organization across product and business development for two of its largest areas, Codes and Standards and Conformity Assessment (CA). As the Director of Engagement and Outreach, Chris oversees the Conformity Assessment certification retention programs. His focus is on driving global expansion across CA’s many programs and services. Chris began his career as a project coordinator and structural estimator for Sen-Wel Industries in Buffalo New York. He oversaw many large and complex construction projects, including Fort Drum Co-generation facility, the Buffalo Light Rail System, NFTA Buffalo Small Boat Harbor, and the expansion of University of Buffalo North Campus. Following his time at Sen-Wel, Chris became Vice President of Programs for CIS Software, a leading compliance software company specializing in the areas of Medical (Health & Life Sciences), Chemical Manufacturing, and Oil & Gas. The company supported businesses in meeting complicated Federal regulations and simplifying internal processes. This provided Chris with key knowledge and experience that he’s been able to weave into his many important roles at ASME.
