The Cameroonian governmental agency ANOR (L’Agence des NORmes et de la Qualité) implemented this pre-shipment conformity evaluation program to enhance the quality and keep up the standards of foreign products entering Cameroon’s domestic market.
TÜV Rheinland was appointed as an official assessment body to conduct all conformity verification, inspection, testing, and certification processes required by the PECAE Program. These procedures will already be carried out in the countries of origin before actually shipping the goods.
This approach prevents the import of substandard goods, ensures the health and safety of Cameroonian end consumers, and safeguards local producers from unfair competition. After the successful completion of the assessment process, importers will be issued ANOR’s official Certificate of Conformity (CoC) for smooth customs clearance.
