Digital Product Passport Outlook under the ESPR
The Digital Product Passport will get mandatory in Europe soon. Time to have a look into the new legal requirements landscape and its implications on today's operations. Rather than presenting a regulatory burden, the Digital Product Passport should enable efficient data validity controls across value chains to foster digital trust and enhance product life cycles through reliable information. In order to fulfill its purpose for the different economic operators, consumers and authorities, the Digital Product Passport must ensure verifiable product information in a secure and transparent way that matches diverse IT landscapes and processes, consumer expectations as well as regulatory control mechanisms.
