Robot Safety E-Book: An In-depth Exploration of Categories and Standards

It's 2021, and robotics have been used by innovators more than ever, especially when it comes to solving employment and safety problems brought about by the coronavirus pandemic. However, as more businesses look to implement more complex or novel robots into their current work practices and manufacturing processes, they're finding that the robotics safety landscape is complex and difficult to navigate.

As a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification for robotics, machinery, and electrical equipment, and more, TÜV Rheinland understands the current regulatory landscape and can help guide you through the process. Our network of experts have a deep and practical understanding of this complex, international regulatory landscape, participating in or contributing to multiple prominent industry groups, including ISO/TC 299 and ANSI/RIA R15.06 committees, among others.
Our e-book aims to create a comprehensive foundation of the five main categories of robots and the specific standards governing their manufacture, integration, and use. Download your copy now to learn more!

Live Q&A Session on Machine Safety
Ensuring the safe operation of your machinery is important not only for your business but also your employees. When individual machines are linked together to form assembly lines, it is especially important to check that the entire production process and all interfaces run safely.

Keeping track of the ever-changing safety regulations for new, outdated, and modified machinery can be challenging. That’s why we developed our on-demand webinar series "Machinery – Production Line Assessment." In the recordings, which you can download at your convenience, our expert Marc Zaplin provides a comprehensive overview of the essential safety requirements.

Mobile / Onsite EMC Testing
Electrical products and machines need be CE marked to be placed on the market in EU and many other countries. In order to show compliance with the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, the product must be tested to be sure the European standards limits are met for electrical noise emissions and to make sure that the product is not susceptible to electrical interference, or immunity.

For industrial system manufacturers or manufacturers of any type of large electrical equipment, this can be a difficult task as large systems are typically built in place and nearly impossible to transport to an EMC lab for testing.

TÜV Rheinland makes it easy by bringing EMC testing to the manufacturer's facility. Our custom-designed mobile EMC equipment is shipped to your site where our experienced and dedicated EMC experts perform the tests in just a few days, working with your engineering staff to mitigate any compliance issues along the way.
