Walter Schlegel

Global Product and Scheme Manager

Compliance of Management Systems

Walter is an electrical engineer and business economist by background, and has worked for TÜV Rheinland for 27 years in various fields of auditing and product development.

He has been involved with the topic of compliance since 2008. Since 2019, he became Deputy Scheme Manager for Anti-Bribery, and in 2022 also Global Product and Scheme Manager for Compliance.

Walter published the first compliance management system standard in Germany in 2011 and became a member of the German mirror committee for the development of the compliance standards ISO 19600 and ISO 37301 in 2013. He has trained compliance officers at TÜV Rheinland Academy for many years.

Zeeba Mercer

Lead Auditor and Process Improvement & Technical Manager

Zeeba is a Lead Auditor and Technical Manager at TÜV Rheinland with extensive executive experience in healthcare, manufacturing and information technology leadership, management, and consulting. She has over 25 years of experience delivering systems and transformation projects at a global level.

She is passionate about leveraging technology solutions, protecting, and maximizing the organization’s ROI for long term success, and using problems as opportunities to reach the next level of success.

Zeeba has a unique blend of clinical, business, R&D, and technology acumen which translates to the integration of operations, applications, and compliance alignment with the organization’s business strategies and requirements. Before joining TÜV Rheinland, Zeeba founded and served as CEO of Excelarise, a transformational consulting company, helping companies to achieve their organization’s strategic goals. In her spare time, she is an Adjunct Professor teaching Business and Healthcare courses for the College of Management Information System, Entrepreneurship, and Business at Kent State University.
