New editions of ISO 10218-1 for Industrial robots and ISO 10218-2 for Industrial robot systems, robot applications and robot cells are currently under revision, with final versions expected early this year. This will be a significant update, as many industrial robot safety standards around the world are based on these two standards.
While many of the basic requirements found in the standards will not change from past editions, much of the documents have been re-written to be harmonized with the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC). Other big changes include new robot classifications, expanded functional safety requirements, introduction of cybersecurity concepts, and incorporation of ISO/TS 15066 safety function requirements.
This on-demand webinar takes an in-depth look into the proposed changes to ISO 10218-1 and ISO 10218-2, giving manufacturers and integrators of industrial robots everything they need to know in order to make a smooth transition to the new editions.
