"Battery Regulation Legislative Update"
The EU Battery Regulation poses significant challenges for companies and their global battery supply chains: From August 2026, batteries must display information on capacity, lifespan and disposal with August 2027 being the deadline for Due Diligence Requirements. Companies and importers of batteries will then have to prove, for example, that raw materials such as cobalt and nickel have been sourced responsibly.

An expert talk and workshop form newly appointed Notified Body on Battery Regulation will be available cross- industry in accordance to TÜV Rheinland (InterCert) being granted Notified Body status by the European Commission for the EU Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542. The EU Battery Regulation replaces the previous Battery Directive (2006/66/EC).
