ISO 14001, the globally recognized standard for environmental management systems, has been revised and recently published. To help you prepare for the changes, TÜV Rheinland has created an exclusive synopsis. This document provides a detailed comparison of the current version of ISO 14001:2015 and the published changes. This allows you to see exactly which parts of the standard are to be revised, deleted or newly added.
Why is the synopsis important for you?
Following the 2021 user survey, it was decided not to completely revise ISO 14001, but to make minor adjustments as part of an amendment. However, everything now points to a consolidated revision of the standard – with moderate but important changes. The Final Draft International Standard (FDIS) was published in January 2026, and the final standard was published in June 2026.
In our synopsis, you will learn:
- What changes are coming for ISO 14001,
- What impact the changes will have on companies,
- And how you can best prepare for the revision.
