Inspection Units (IU) are individuals or legal entities that perform inspection acts, that is, that carry out conformity assessment activities through ocular verification or verification by means of sampling, measurement, laboratory tests or examination of documents at a given moment or time, with the confidence that the services provided are conducted with technical competence, impartiality and confidentiality.

Compliance Report

Document issued by the Inspection Unit as a result of the conformity assessment carried out during the on-site inspection visit either to denote compliance with the applicable standards by issuing a Compliance Report or otherwise a Denial of Report is issued.

Assessment of Conformity

Document issued by the Conformity Assessment Body, either to denote compliance with applicable standards by issuing a Conformity Certificate, otherwise a Denial of Conformity is issued.

The Assessment is issued to producers, manufacturers, importers, traders or service providers as a result of the conformity assessment carried out to products prior to commercialization.

NOTE: UI is not authorized to design labels. The technical review is provided to the Client as a suggestion.

Our Scope

NOM-003-SSA1-2006

Environmental health. Health requirements to be met by the labeling of paints, inks, varnishes, lacquers and enamels.

Scope of application: This standard is mandatory for individuals and legal entities engaged in the processing and importation of paints, inks, varnishes, varnishes, lacquers and enamels.

NOM-004-SE-2021

Commercial information: labeling of textile products, garments, their accessories and household linen.

Applicable to textile products, garments, their accessories and household linen, whose textile composition is greater than 50% in relation to the mass.

Exceptions: electric blankets, disposable diapers, sanitary napkins, swabs, disposable clothing, toys made of textile materials, costumes, furniture, watch straps made of textile material, textile cords, belts, badge straps made of textile material, shields, patches, flags, threads, woven and non-woven fabrics, trimmings, mutilated or chopped rags, among others (See point 1 of the Standard).

Commercial information: labeling on toys.

Scope of application. All toys made of any material, including those operated by battery, batteries and/or any other power source, which are marketed in the territory of the United Mexican States

NOM-024-SCFI-2013

Commercial information for packaging, instructions and warranties for electronic, electrical and household appliance products.

This standard applies to new, remanufactured, used or second-hand products, as well as spare parts, accessories and consumables sold in Mexico.

NOM-050-SCFI-2004

Commercial information: general product labeling.

This Standard does not apply to bulk products, live animals, books, magazines, fascicles, periodicals, among others.

NOM-116-SCFI-2018

Automotive industry: Lubricating oils for gasoline and diesel engines-Specifications, test methods and commercial information.

It does not apply to lubricating oils used in boats, motorcycles and four-wheelers with gasoline engines, as well as to lubricating oils used in locomotives and ships with diesel engines. This Mexican Official Standard excludes lubricating oils in bulk presentation.
