The number of charging stations is constantly increasing. However, operators of these stations in Germany currently have to deal with a new legislation. Since April 2020, the stations are subject to calibration Law. Among other things, this includes informing customers via the charging station display how much electrical energy they are drawing, how long the charging process takes, and about the costs of a kilowatt hour (kWh). Violations of the calibration Law and the charging station ordinance can be punished with up to 50,000 euros.
