With WWF-Pakistan spearheading the International Labour & Environmental Standards Application for Pakistan's SMEs (ILES), its overarching goal is to enhance the capacities of the textile and leather sectors to adopt Smart Environmental Management Practices (SEMPs).
Apart from reducing the overall energy and water footprint of textile and leather manufacturing, this European Union (EU) funded project also aims to address other relevant environmental issues such as air, noise pollution and solid waste management.
